The home features an "owner’s retreat’ with en suite bath and oversized walk-in closet, open floor plan kitchen, and hardwood floors throughout. The 2019 home was built by Southern Serenity Homes. It is a 4-bedroom, 4-bath, 3,400 square foot home located in Lakeland, Tennessee.

Officials with WBTV, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and other businesses who will be donating time and materials to build the home, held a ground breaking ceremony at the home site. INDIAN TRAIL, NC - Thursday, January 10 marked the official start to the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway! Prizes included in the drawing are a VIP Grizzlies experience, a Peabody weekend getaway, Memphis Tiger Basketball season tickets, a car, and the grand prize of the dream home.

The people will pledge to donate whatever they can and this money will then go to St. Jude as a sponsorship for you partaking in the walk/run. People looking to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital donated $1,400,500 by reserving 14,500 raffle tickets for the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home. The money raised during this fundraiser will help make sure no patient’s family has to pay for treatment at St. Jude. This marks KSPR's fifteenth year of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital does so much for children who suffer from unfortunate illnesses and diseases. These are brave children that go through more in their first years of life than many of us will ever experience at any point in ours. However, St. Jude can’t do it on their own. In order to provide assistance to these children and their families, they are always on the lookout for ways to raise money and awareness.

If you have participated in the event before, the setup is the same. However, if you are new to it, the process is pretty easy. First, you’ll want to head over to the St. Jude website and register for either a walk or the 5K run. You can tour the Dream Home yourself!
That is exactly what the 2019 St. Jude Walk/Run in Memphis is designed to do. Whether you want to run, walk or sponsor someone who is partaking, the event is fast approaching as it takes place at the end of September. Once you register for the event, you can form your own team or join another team. Once you have joined a team it is up to you to ask people if they would “sponsor” you in the race. Basically, this means you’ll go around and ask for donations.

WBTV’s Christine Sperow made two big announcements. Each year, tickets to win the Dream Home have sold out. So this year more tickets to win the home will be available for purchase at 17,000.
Over that time you have helped us raise a grand total of $8.9 million to fund cancer research for children and families in need. Toledo native, Danny Thomas, founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1962. Sign up to receive updates for when tickets will be available. “For nine years on Extreme I got to design and do it well giving back and I missed that. It’s a great way to combine the things that I love and give back…do my share,” says Moloney.
If you decide to do the walk the cost is $10, all of which goes to St. Jude. If you want to partake in the 5K run the cost is $20. Stacy Breland of Dunlap is the winner of the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home. Breland was named Sunday at the conclusion of a hour-long giveaway show on Channel 3. Also, celebrity designer Michael Moloney, of Extreme Home Makeover fame, will be designing “Michael’s Mystery Suite” in the home. He was in attendance for the groundbreaking in Indian Trail.
And don’t be frustrated if you’re unable to raise the funds. What you’re doing is amazing and every cent you can give goes toward helping families and children suffering from terrible diseases. And if you want to donate more you absolutely can. Perhaps you are new in the area and don’t know anyone. Or maybe your family and friends are unable to donate.
